Executive Board Members
The Chapter shall be governed by the elected officers and the Committee Chairpersons. These officers and chairpersons shall serve as members of the Executive Board. All Chapter business shall require previous Executive Board approval. A quorum of two-thirds (2/3) of the Executive Board members must be present to conduct Chapter business. The Executive Board will develop a working annual budget. The Fresno Madera CABE CASBE Chapter Executive Board has 14 members. We need 9 Executive Board members to have a Chapter quorum.

The President shall preside over all meetings, appoint committee members after consulting with the chairperson, provide leadership to the Chapter, and perform such other duties as ordinarily pertain to the office of President.

POSITION OPEN- President Elect

The President-Elect shall assume and perform the duties of the President in the event of the absence or incapacity of the President, as well as fulfill duties assigned to him/her by the President. Should the Office of the Presidency become vacant, the President-Elect shall assume the Office of the President for the unexpired portion of the President's term. The President-Elect will assume the position of President upon completion of the President's term.

Description of duties.
The Secretary shall record proceedings of all general meetings and meetings of the Executive Board, maintain a file of minutes, prepare and distribute all correspondence, notices, and newsletters as directed by the President. The Secretary shall turn over all records to his/her successor within thirty days after the completion of his/her term of office.

The Treasurer shall execute the duties essential to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date fiscal and membership records, shall have custody of the funds that shall be deposited in the name of the Chapter, sign checks and drafts as directed by the President, and cooperate with an annual audit. The Treasurer shall turn over to his/her successor all funds, accounts, and books of the treasury within thirty days of the completion of his/her term of office.

The CASBE Representative shall actively promote the interest and purposes of CASBE in their local areas, recruit members, and organize appropriate activities within the Chapter as directed by the President. The CASBE Representative will liaison with the CASBE Region II Representative.
